On 25 February, 2018; the president of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF), Engr. Dayo Akindoju said that the game of lawn tennis in the country will only get better through everyone’s support.

He stated that the team needs lots of tournaments that will help to discover new talents and also help to develop the ones that are playing already, he, therefore advised all stakeholders to work with the NTF board and together they would help to develop the tennis game in the country.
