Nigeria Tennis Majors Starts by June in Abuja

On 17, March, 2018; it was announced that the Nigerian Lawn Tennis Federation (NTF) signed a memorandum of understanding with Lagos based Tennis management company limited concerning the Nigerian Tennis Majors. 

Stating that the first majors will be by June in Abuja, followed by the one that will be done November in Lagos.  The Nigeria Tennis Federation president, Ifedayo Akindoju who signed on behalf of the federation, expressed his satisfaction about the ambitious plans for the majors; stating that the majors will provide the biggest prize money in the history of Nigerian sports and will also help in making the sport popular and attracts more fans.

He added that the winners in the singles category of the tournaments will henceforth go home with a prize money of N10 million.
